In a bizarre partnership that defies traditional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Uncovered
According to the official announcement, "A strange confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of banned ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a secret sect.
The adventure focuses on "peculiar trials and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Transformations
The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer finishes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Bonus Features
Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an unique katana alongside several objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This release also adds the game's newest complimentary story episode, titled "A Puzzlement."
